Phuket has quite a variety of entertainment in the evenings from enjoying a sunset cruise around Phuket, being delighted by the ladyboys, to Muay Thai boxing fights. You can even learn something about the culture and history of Thailand and be amazed at the same time with acrobatics, fireworks and magic.
The Simon Cabaret Show
The Simon Cabaret Show was the first ladyboy show to open in Phuket and features a remarkable musical show performed by the infamous ladyboys of Thailand. The costumes are way over the top, the lights dazzling, the songs familiar and the singing mimed.
The ladyboys themselves are the height of glamour and are very convincing in their roles as women. Extremely popular, its located just outside Patong and has been mesmerising audiences for years with its bizarre, entertaining, transvestite cabaret.
Siam Niramit Dinner Show
The Siam Niramit Dinner Show starts off with a delicious menu of fresh and exciting Thai specialties before the show starts. The acts take you on a journey through Thailand’s myths, legends, and fascinating culture.
With over 100 performers in gold and brightly coloured clothes on stage, the performance involves dramatic music, amazing fireworks, and spellbinding martial arts. The special effects are out of this world and the high level of technology makes the whole experience magical.
Watch a Muay Thai Show
Thai boxing or Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and a martial art that has its roots in ancient Thai battlefield skills. In Muay Thai almost any part of the body can be used, the feet, elbows, legs, knees, and shoulders. Everything apart from the head in fact.
There are fights all over the island but the main tourist stadium is Bangla, right in the centre of Patong. The atmosphere buzzes with excitement and the ritual they perform before the fight starts is fascinating to watch.
Live Music Bar
Unfortunately, there aren’t too many good live music bars in Phuket, but things are improving and you should be able to catch a local band at some of the beach bars and certainly in Patong and Phuket Town.
Phuket Town has quite a lot of small bars with Thai bands playing both western and Thai popular music and you can always find a rock band playing somewhere. There are also some very stylish beach clubs around the island that offer a chilled atmosphere, great food and cocktails and a beautiful setting.
Romantic Evening Boat Trip
If it is the ultimate peaceful experience you are after, then book a private Phuket island tour on a traditional fishing boat for sunset. Appreciate the views in the cool evening air of the sun setting. With no crowds around the cruise is quiet and calm, perfect for enjoying the romantic mood with a cold glass of beer or wine and some chilled-out music.
La Moet has a wealth of experience taking guests out on Phuket boat trips to Phang Nga and Phi Phi Island. We offer private charters that are affordable and guarantee you a day to remember.
