Phuket has all kinds of fun and interesting things to do such as a Phuket cruise/boat tours and discovering temples, but sometimes all we want to do is sit and chill. Here are some of our favourite places around the island where we from La Moet like to relax, eat, and meet up with friends.
The Book Cafe
This little cafe, tucked away in a quiet area of Rawai, is one of our favourite places to have coffee, eat, and hang out. Just off the beaten track it’s easy enough to miss but worth looking out for. They specialize in fresh juices and super smoothies, have lunch and breakfast and lots and lots of books. When we go we often end up staying for the afternoon. The garden is supercute and the place is full of character.

Sabai Corner
This mountain top restaurant has the best views ever, get there for sunset and you won’t want to leave as the panoramic sights are the best way to see the day end. It looks out over the ocean to Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon beaches. The place is big and the food good with Thai dishes and western food, we usually go on a Friday evening after work and have a pizza. It’s located on the windy mountain road between Kata and Nai Harn.
Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn Beach is one of the most popular in the south of the island. Tourists and locals love to hang out here eating, or swimming and sunbathing, and even surfing and para-gliding at certain times. Early in the morning you’ll see walkers, joggers and cyclists, and there’s a park for kids and exercise area nearby. The swimming is great in the high season with lots of Phuket private boat tours passing by. We like to go down there for sunset and have a cold beer
Kata Rocks
Kata Rocks is a bar and chill out lounge with a fabulous setting. It’s stylish and elegant and is proud of its wine bar and tapas lounge. Great for chilling out with a cocktail with your better half as the sun goes down. The bar is next to the infinity swimming pool and this is where we like to laze about while sipping on a Passion Fruit Mojito and watching the sun go down. (When we aren’t too busy looking after our guests on MV Champagne of course).
