Phuket is a remarkable island, there is no doubt about it, and we feel very lucky to live here. We have the best of everything on our doorstep, from the white-sand beaches, dramatic coastline and lush mountains, to the aroi maak food and exotic fresh fruits available on every corner.
Phuket is well-known as a first-rate destination, not only for its beaches and nightlife but also for the wide-range of adventurous activities and sports. Phuket snorkelling tours, scuba diving, golfing holidays, big game fishing, paragliding, surfing and go- karting are just some of the exciting things that can be experienced here.
Who doesn’t like shopping? Part of Phukets attraction are the shopping venues, ranging from the air-conditioned Central Festival just outside Phuket Town and Jungceylon in Patong, to the local Thai markets with an explosion of bargains. When visiting the island make sure you bring plenty of money as you’ll be spoilt for choice with shopping opportunities.
Phuket has plenty of places to stay, from top-class resorts and luxurious villas to beach-side bungalows and home-stays. The busiest time of year is high season which starts in November and goes through to March/April. The months in-between are quieter and accommodation costs are often discounted.
